Steam Big Picture is a practical choice when Steam is the center of the library. Playnite Fullscreen is useful when games and launchers live in several places. Xbox full-screen can be an option where it is supported by your Windows version, device, and Microsoft rollout. Availability is not identical on every PC, so treat it as an option to check rather than a guaranteed mode.

Open the chosen experience manually first. Confirm that it is readable from the couch, controller navigation works, and the television is on the correct input. A reliable manual path gives you something concrete to compare when automation is introduced.

For Microsoft's gaming environment, check Xbox Mode availability and setup. If another launcher fits your library better, start with Steam's controller entry point or Playnite Fullscreen.
